Meet the Staff

Dr. Stoker is a life long Nevadan, having been born in Reno in 1950. Dr. Stoker attended Reno schools including Reno High School, and subsequently the University of Nevada. He obtained his dental education at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Dr. Stoker's postdoctoral training continued with a general practice residency in Boston Massachusetts and a pediatric dental residency at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Stoker practiced for the dental system in Basel Switzerland for two years.

Dr. Stoker began his practice in Reno in 1980 and his partner, Dr. Richard Adams, joined 10 years later in practice.

Dr. Stoker is married to Debbie (formerly Francovich and also from Reno) and has three children, Danielle, Nicole and Michael. Dr. Stoker's hobbies include skiing, bicycling, tennis and sailing. He particularly enjoys these activities when he can do them with his family. Dr. Stoker loves to travel, and sometimes includes sailing in his travels.

Dr. Stoker thinks he is very lucky to be a pediatric dentist as kids are the best patients of all. They entertain the entire office non-stop and really are exceptional dental patients. The kids, along with our great staff, make our office a fun place to be.

Dr. Richard Adams is a Nevada native who has been practicing children's dentistry in his hometown of Reno since 1990. After graduating from Reno High School, Dr. Adams attended the University of Oregon and Oregon Health Sciences University. Dr. Adams completed his postdoctoral training in pediatric dentistry during a two-year residency also at The Oregon Health Sciences University. He has further advanced training in several areas of pediatric dentistry including growth and development and hospital dentistry. Dr. Adams keeps abreast of the newest developments in his field by attending continuing education courses throughout the year.

When not in the office, Dr. Adams enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities and motor sports. Another favorite activity is spending time and traveling with his wife, Ann-Marie Campione, who is a family practice physician and his daughter, Nicole.

Dr. Nicole Stoker, the daughter of Dr. Michael Stoker, is a third generation Reno native. Dr. Nicole Stoker attended local schools including Verdi Elementary School and McQueen High School. She attended Vanderbilt University and the University of Nevada, Reno, before obtaining her dental degree at the University of Pacific School of Dentistry.

Upon graduating from dental school, she completed a two year pediatric dental residency at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center to become a certified pediatric dentist.

Her dental interests include all aspects of pediatric dentistry with emphasis on child growth and development and special needs children.

Outside of dentistry her interests include skiing, hiking, and enjoying the multiple activities the Reno-Tahoe area has to offer.

I have worked at the Smile Shop 1992. In 1999 I started to oversee the day to day operations of our dental practice as office manager. I enjoy the challenge of working in both the clinical and administrative aspects of the practice. The best part of my job is working with the children; they can brighten any day. I enjoy spending time with my husband Kurt, my daughters Lauren and Chloe
and my son Kai.

Born and raised in Reno. Enjoy running, raising my son and watching him play baseball.

I have worked at the Smile Shop since April 2002 and have loved every minute of it. I am a lifelong Reno resident and love participating in all of the activities this area has to offer. When not at work, I am usually hanging out with my husband Cameron, and our twin daughters, Brooklyn and Halle.

I have worked for Dr. Stoker and Adams since 1988. I love working with the children and watching them grow. I have three children at home, two girls and a boy. We also have a dog named Murphy. Most of our free time is spent between baseball and softball fields. My family and I love to go to San Francisco to watch the Giants play and to spend time with our children.

I've been working at the Smile Shop since 2001. I have always enjoyed working with children, as I am also a gymnastics instructor at Flips USA. In our spare time, my husband and I enjoy going to our children's sports events. Our oldest son plays AA baseball for the Chicago White Sox. Our other son plays college ice hockey in New York and our daughter is a level 10 gymnast at Flips USA.

I have been working at the Smile Shop since May 2004. Since I started I have been an oral hygiene instructor, front desk administrator and I am currently coordinating our hospital cases. I recently bought a new house and enjoy spending time with family, traveling and shopping. The best part of this job is working with all the kids.

I have worked at the Smile Shop since 1990. Before working at the Smile Shop I was a legal secretary to Sam Francovich. I love to travel and shop. My other hobbies are reading, cooking, scrapbooking, and ceramics. I also love to work outside in my yard and drive my Saturn Sky convertible. I especially like walking with my little dog B.J. at the Sparks Marina and meeting new people. I also enjoy pet sitting my co-workers little dogs.

I have been working at the Smile Shop as Dr. Adams' assistant since July 2007. It has been a learning experience working in the dental field. What I have experienced and learned here at the Smile Shop I will use for the rest of my life. I was born and raised in Sparks. I am the youngest of three. I graduated from Sparks High School. I am the first in my family to graduate from college with a BA from UNR. I am currently attending TMCC to receive my AA in Graphic Design. In my spare time I like to spend it with my family, friends, and my little dog named Kitti.

I graduated from UNR with a degree in materials engineering. I have worked at the Smile Shop since August 2006. I enjoy spending time with my husband, Antonio and my four year old daughter, Kaiya. I also enjoy dancing, running and the Nevada outdoors.

I have worked at the Smile Shop since June 2007. I love working with children and I enjoy the dental field. I am a senior at UNR. I am studying to hopefully become a dentist myself. In addition to being a personal trainer, I also am a member of the dance team for the Reno Bighorns. In my free time I enjoy playing outdoor grass volleyball, running and working out. I look forward to meeting all of you when you come into our office.

Christy - Oral Hygiene Instructor

I started working at the Smile Shop in May 2004 and love it. I also teach spinning classes at Montreux and Somersett. I enjoy working out, snow skiing, water skiing, camping and boating with my husband. We have recently become first-time parents to a little boy and are very excited.

I have been with The Smile Shop since 2005. I think the best part of working in pediatrics is helping children overcome their apprehensions; it is challenging and rewarding. Outside of The Smile Shop I am a mom of two children, Ben and Lauren, and enjoy gardening, decorating, and keeping up with our busy family.

I have worked at the Smile Shop since January 2008, as an Oral Hygiene Instructor. I have worked with children for several years now and love the wonderful new insights and excitement they bring to each day. I am currently attending UNR for a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I also work as a counselor for families in the community. I enjoy spending my free time outdoors and keep busy with hobbies such as reading, cycling, camping, snowboarding, hiking and kayaking.

I have worked at the Smile Shop since February 2007. I am a full time student at UNR. I am majoring in Biology and Spanish. I have a seven year old son.

I was born and raised in Reno. I was a patient of Dr. Stoker and Dr. Adams when I was younger and now enjoy working here. I love working with children as they can brighten any day. I am currently attending TMCC to increase my dental knowledge. When I am not working or going to school, I love doing anything outdoors, camping, going to the lake and snowboarding.

I have been working at the Smile Shop since July 2007, and absolutely love it! In my spare time I enjoy scrapbooking and photography. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband, Derek, and our new baby boy Carson.
